Venue & Office cleaner – The Sabrina Boat
Hourly rate: Up to £9.50
We are looking for a conscientious and detail oriented cleaner to join our team on a part/full time, permanent basis.
The Sabrina boat is a 60-seater passenger vessel on the River Severn that runs on the river loop around Shrewsbury town centre. We offer day trips with table service for drinks and live commentary, as well as a range of themed evening parties or food and drink functions for both public events and private hire. We also have a boutique room called the Stowe above our offices which is let out by users via various holiday letting sites. This is managed by the office team, and we have some potential plans for expansion on our accommodation in the long term.
About the role:
Our cleaners work with the office staff and the management team. They are responsible for Cleaning the office and turning around our accommodation rooms above the Sabrina office. They are also responsible for cleaning the internal and external parts of the Sabrina boat itself when required.
Office cleaning: Our office on Roushill requires cleaning usually once a week. This will involve things like washing up, cleaning windows, washing machine loads, cleaning surfaces, hoovering, mopping, and changing bins
Room cleaning: We have accommodation above our office called the Stowe which guests can book through various holiday letting sites. It is a small room but is in regular use sometimes needing to be turned around for same day checkout/check in. Cleaning the room will involve tasks such as changing the bed sheets, cleaning the bathroom, hoovering, wiping surfaces, and restocking empty sundries.
Boat cleaning: The boat must be cleaned every morning, but this responsibility can be shared between the cleaner and the FOH staff. The boat also requires a less regular deep clean. Cleaning of the boat will involve tasks such as hoovering, mopping, cleaning the toilets, wiping surfaces, cleaning walls and ceilings and cleaning windows.
The successful candidate will have high standards of cleanliness with a great eye for detail. This vacancy can offer a lot of flexibility as we are a 7-day operation, but the shifts will be shorter. Start times and shift patterns can be flexible to suit the needs of the right candidate in line with the business requirements. This role can be permanent or a fixed term contract with shifts becoming less available during our off season from November to the end of February.
